In our daily work we use many different services and products where we work with and exchange confidential data. In most cases, enterprise solutions such as secure email channel, enterprise password & key manager are used, but the fast exchange of confidential information (especially passwords for different types of access) is actually difficult to share and not convenient in terms of time. Also, when it comes to sharing information with 3rd party companies, it becomes much more complicated.

This was the reason why our integration team took on the challenge to develop a fast and convenient solution to cooperate with partners. That’s how Group-IB Secure Note came to be.

This service is designed to simplify the process of sharing sensitive data. You can simply encrypt text or a file and create a one-time link (which means the message can only be accessed once) and share it with the other side. If the link is decrypted and the user you shared it with confirms his identity, it means the information was delivered and not intercepted.

Secured protocols are used and no authorization is required, so this service is easy to use - you need only a browser and any communication channel to deliver the link.

• Our service encrypts data with Fernet technology which provides symmetric encryption, meaning the same key is used for both encryption and decryption. For every other message we use different key, so every message is encrypted by unique key, which helps to access data to user you wanted
• Group-IB Security Note is defended from XXS, clickjacking, Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS), and other related attacks
• Traffic from client web interface to the Web server encrypted with TLS 1.2
• Service is located and hosted at Hetzner ISP, Germany. Servers are not shared and owned by Group-IB

• Text characters limit is 2000 symbols
• Current file size limit is 200 MB

• By using Fernet cipher technology, you can create a one-time link, which further can be passed to another person for opening and reading sensitive data (but only once)
